Vastushilpalaya was established in 1986 by
Ar. Koshy K. Alex.
Ar. Zeril S. Jose joined as partner in 1992.
Vastushilpalaya was converted into a Private Limited Company in 2002.
The Company is engaged in Architectural Consultancy, offering services in Campus Planning,Town Planning, Architectural Design, Structural Design, Services Design, Landscape Design and Interior Design.

MISSION & PHILOSOPHY

VASTUSHILPALAYA has been following the design Philosophy of PROGRESSIVE ARCHITECTURE throughout the years of its existence.We believe in an Architecture which imbibes the spirit of the past, incorporates the needs of the present and anticipates the hope for the future.Our Architecture is inspired by the rich tradition and culture of our country, not just by the visible elements but by the essence of the Architecture which was evolved over the centuries.The spirit of tradition is conditioned to meet the functional needs of the Present.At the same time it tries to embrace the fruits of scientific and technological advances, to continue its relevance in the Future.

Noteworthy Mention

Design submitted by Koshy K. Alex & two others (for L.B.S. Centre for Science& Technology) was placed second, in a two stage National Level Competition for the Naval Academy Project at Ezhimala, conducted by the Indian Navy, (period of work 11 months, estimated project cost in1988 – Rs. 500 Crores.)

Campus Planning – the campus design for the L.N.C.P.E., Karyavattom, Trivandrum has been recognised as an excellent work in Planning and Architecture.

Was Principal of The School Of Design (in collaboration with Berger Paints) which was conducting a one year Diploma Course in Interior Design and Décor (1991-1997)
